#ThrowbackThursday - Historic Spanish Point

Another #ThrowbackThursday means another past exhibit project highlighted! Check out this oldie but goodie!

In Osprey, Florida, Wilderness Graphics provided interpretive planning, design, fabrication, and installation for
numerous projects at this historic archaeological site. Three highlighted exhibit programs include:

1. Archaeological Exhibit Program

A custom-designed structure offers a view into a stabilized profile cut into an ancient Native American shell midden. Dioramas, interactives, and a synchronized audiovisual program invite visitors to learn more about the site, the early peoples, and the science of archaeology. This exhibition was recognized as a Special Category Project by the Trust for Historic Preservation.

2. Citrus Packing Program

A replica of a c. 1900 citrus packing house complete with reproduction furnishings and interpretation

3. Maritime History Exhibit Program

Displays include a 2/3-scale replica of a boat with interactive activities, such as raising and lowering the sail and knot-tying, as well as artifact displays and museum-mount panels in custom structures.
